Detecting decay early means that fillings can be shallower and simpler and more of the tooth structure can be preserved. And, because DIAGNOdent uses only light energy, not x-rays, it’s safe to use at each office visit.

The DEXIS CariVu uses absolutely zero ionizing radiation. Near-infrared transillumination technology allows you to see into a tooth like never before and offers a new diagnostic tool for patients, this is an alternative to x-rays. This tool allow us to detect and treat cavities in a very holistic way. We use it to detect cavities and cracks in between the teeth.
